Movie Research: Happy Death Day


What conventions of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have? The situations the characters are put in which makes it suspenseful. The plot are also base on my final task. As long with the setting.

What conventions of the genre did the movie have that you liked? I like the different situations each character was put in. I also like the settings the characters are in. As long with the characters and the different backgrounds.

What conventions of the genre did the movie have that did not appeal to you and you are thinking of not filming for your final task? The conventions did not appeal to me are the props used in the movie. I also did not like themes of the movie. The tropes as well I would not include on my final task.

Working Title: The title of this film will likely be "Endless Dreaming"  It will be in bold face font and in caps and will likely be in red: SOMETHING ALONG THIS STYLE  Titles will all be "typed" on to the screen. Filming Blog: Started Filming

 My groupmate and I have started filming, I started to shoot some of the beginning scenes. Since I am the shooter I have to practically shoot almost all the scenes. I enjoy shooting as I can form different camera angles for the final task. I started shooting the opening scene of the final task. I also started shooting the middle parts of the final task, but I may need to redo them. Shooting the scenes takes a lot of work but I know I can do it. I am also learning a lot more about the process of shooting the final task. Being able to shoot different camera movements was something I looked forward to. I am also practicing my skills of being a cameraperson. I still need to film many scenes to complete the final task. Filming the opening sequence was a bit rocky in the start but then I started to get the hang of it. Shooting the different camera movements were a little difficult at first. Re-editing Blog: Re-editing for Final Task

 Hello Blog! I have decided to re-edit the opening sequence that I did. The reason why is because I felt like it did not really match what I imagined. What I imagined was that is matched up with the genre of the final task. The genre of the final task is a mixture of suspense and horror. The opening sequence was not really leaning over those genres. So I re-edited it in order to match the final task. The first thing I did was to change around the texts to look more scarier. This actually worked as the text did in fact more look scary like. I also changed up the transitions I did to look more cleaner. I also changed the transitions to look more scary like as well which ended up working. Overall the product was very much better than what I edited the first time.
